Prof. Rosenwaks has received his Ph. D. (cum laude) in 1992 working on time-resolved photoluminescence of II-VI and III-V semiconductor, and then spent three years as a postdoctoral research fellow in NREL (USA).
In 1996 he joined the Faculty of Engineering at Tel-Aviv University, where he is a Professor of Electrical Engineering since 2005.
Prof. Rosenwaks is heading a research group of 10 graduate students and scientists and his current research interests include: nanoscale electrical measurements using mainly Kelvin probe force microscopy, organic and molecular transistors, charge carrier dynamics and transport in semiconductors, image restoration in Kelvin probe microscopy, nanodomain engineering in ferroelectrics using high voltage scanning probe microscopy, interfaces between photosynthetic proteins and semiconductors, and photovoltaics.
Prof. Rosenwaks has supervised 40 graduate students, edited two books, published over 95 peer-reviewed journal articles, presented more then 30 invited talks at international scientific meetings, and organized 6 international conferences.
He has served as the president of the Israel Vacuum Society (2003-2006), and as the director of Tel-Aviv University Wolfson applied materials research center, and Gordon center for energy research.
